In today's society to learn how to read is part of the process of development of each child. Starting early in the development of your child's reading skills can and future success. Therefore, it is important that parents help their children to choose books that are fun, but also instructive.
What means the choice of a good book for children?
The reasons for picking a book for a child are far from educational. If there is time comes to him, children will make their decisions about the size of the book or their appeal is based. The smallest, the largest or one with a Kitty on the cover are good reasons for children to pick up a book. In fact, children's selection criteria have rarely, if ever anything to do with their reading skills. This is why it can be a big problem. Let us assume that the book is too easy, the child will not benefit from any kind of challenge, therefore, little progress be made. However, if the book is too difficult, the child can be discouraged and give up even read. Given the importance of parents in the decision comes in the choice of a book. Parents need for a book that their child be understood in a position to see and appreciate. Also, in order for the child to improve their reading skills, the book has even slightly reading above the level of the child.
Children prefer to choose to read that book. However, it is recommended for parents to help children take their books. Books often come with an age range, but because the parents know their child, they are the best judge in determining the reading level of the boy.
As can be ensured that the book reads at the level of the child.
First, before buying the book, read a random page from your child the book. If he or she stumbles over a word difficult to read or understand, or have him touch her finger. If by the time your child has completed all of the page five fingers are raised, there is a chance that the book will be too difficult for his current level of reading. On the other hand, if no finger after the to read entire page, the book is likely too simple. Two or three fingers usually point out that the book is perfect for the plain reading of the child. It also means that the book he or she will provide a good balance between entertainment and a challenge!
To a child's interest in reading, parents need a book with a theme Find the interest your child. Most likely, the children enjoy the stories they can relate to. Books of short stories or chapters of the child is there to breaks take place throughout the reading. Favor small books with chapters and short stories. If it complains that the book is too hard, encourage your child by reading some of the Pages together. You can alternate and have him or her read a page and read the next one.
